The community’s location and proximity to Saskatoon is also seen as a desirable feature in the community in combination with the safety and security that is offered.

Martensville’s housing market has grown quickly over the past decade so the community features many newer and modern homes and neighborhoods. Martensville has proven to be an appealing option for young families because of the safety of the community as well as the ability to afford a new home and having access to careers, amenities and attractions of a larger centre. In Martensville, 75% of the population is under the age of 45 (provincial average is 60%) and the unemployment rate is estimated at 4.0%.



As the population has grown so have the opportunities for business and recreation. Business startups have increased and many established businesses have been able to grow and expand. There is increasing desire for increased employment opportunities and the community is primed and excited to support commercial growth. Martensville is also host to a number of recreational facilities and events. The Auto Clearing Motor Speedway is Saskatchewan’s premier motorsports facility and is growing in popularity. This has led to a ‘sister community’ relationship with Martinsville Virginia and their annual NASCAR race. Martensville also possesses recreational and service programs and clubs, a vibrant volunteer community, a Sports Centre, Community Centre and a brand new outdoor pool and aquatic centre.
